Thanks for the info. When you said it was to be relased in the autumn I was like man that is so far away then I realized that we are near the end of August and as such autumn is in a few weeks. hehehe
I guess if it is released on September 15th I won't have to wait too much longer. Is it possible to pre-order it?

Well, there's a german site that already sells it at the price of €211,29 including VAT.

But, as the other 1-2 sellers that I found, no images or details... I remember when the DJC was released the last year, Hercules didn't said anything about it, they only teased the audience by presenting a new device covered by a white cloth... and many persons thought that it was a video card until the release date :)
From my personal point of view, even if i surely dislike this lack of infos by Hercules, I have to admit that it's a serious marketing strategy, that brings you a product only when it's ready to be released... more serious than Behringer that claims by months and months the release of their BCD2000... and probably will take a kick in the @$$ from Hercules ;)

I think it's accurate, but some claim it's a "fake", might be, but at such a simular prices and entitled the "mk2", I doubt it would be much different.
When you observe the picture properly, it does seem the build quality has been improved.

Someone has to tell us the truth: if the terrible and unreliable buttons are fixed in the new version. From the photo it seems to be the same...
This was the ONLY reason i sold mine at the first month of purchase.

Assumed good points:
Nice new chunkier jogs.
what seems to look like better build quality.
better sliders.
extra knob on the front.
Looks more proffsional.
Assumed bad points:
Jogs still too close to fader.
knobs still appear amateur.
Buttons look the same (will the play button work now?).
If you want to use timecode It would be cheaper to just buy the soundcard.
Overall: Looks better, seems to be only a re-vamp of the original (hence the MK2), supports timecode a major plus.

okay I found out that with djconsole mk2 there will be VDJ 2 supplied
and with mp3 control there will be "Virtual DJ"
Can someone provide more info on this from the dev team ?
Will that be Version 3 without video and locked to HDJC mk2 hardware
by this I mean that improvements in stability done in 3.1 will be inside this special version?

This console does look like a nice improvement I must say, ultimately it will depend on VDJ's support, how the jog movements are interpreted by the software.
The question on my mind is: Will existing Hercules users (me included) be tempted to rush out and buy this new model??.
Me, I'm not sure.., I may go for timecoded CD and use a standard Maya or simular.

this thing is the real deal, I got a chance to meet with the herc rep at the last show, as usual I girlled her with questions of the new design. I got imporvements were made all around, including a 2+2 sound card this means it takes the place of the maya44 :) which should make many users happy. We will get a test drive in vegas I'm told.

hi guys wonder if u can help want to go to digital mixing but not sure which controller to get, the hurcules or the behringer, could any one please advice the best of the two. i will be using it for work in pubs and clubs,

Personally, I don't like the pitch control in a knob, I like it in slider form. I prefer the slider be the pitch control and the pitch knob be the volume.
As far I see, only the 2 sound card is real the improvement. I hold on to see the Behringer come out.

Ive ordered the Behringer. Should be out at the beginning of next month (fingers crossed). I do love my little DJ console though. To be honest with you, I think the DJ Console MK2 looks like a rehash of the last one. All the buttons and lay out look the same. I dont think the new one looks very pro. Still looks very Fisher Price.
If you have a spare £1500 then you might want to have a look at this baby. You wont find finer.
