Why would you think this needs to be addressed? it's just a funny story that will be replaced in a couple of weeks with something else, If Atomix say anything about it, it will just push the attention on them. And I think everyone has viewed beamz as a toy for the last couple of years, this is just an excuse to voice that opinion of how bad the device really is.

If people think that VDJ is a bad choice of software it's not routed in the add or partnership with beamz, it's a deeply ingrained prejudice that they feel is so intelligent and observant that it needs to be voiced at any opportunity. who cares, they probably don't even understood what the software will do, and get all their "knowledge" from djtt blog posts...

There are already some big name DJs using VDJ

Out of those 18 DJs, I've heard of three:

Coldcut, who use VDJ for video.

Dennis Ferrer, who states that he uses CDJ-1000s & timecode to control VDJ (when was that written?).

DJ Annalyze, who I only know because she was demoing PCDJ Reflex at various shows years before it came out.

Out of those three, I would say only two (Coldcut and Ferrer) are "big names"........and Coldcut aren't exactly A list these days.

That leaves Ferrer, if he still uses VDJ. Now the CDJ-2000s are around, he probably uses Rekordbox.
(later) actually from what I can find online, he was using VDJ in 2007 - but posts from 2009 & 2011 suggest he's using Traktor.

I'm sure there's a lot of DJs you've never heard of. Especially if they are regionally famous.

What would be cool is if Atomix got someone who really is a superstar DJ to endorse Virtual DJ software...

We don't need any superstar DJ's to endorse this product, because us DJ's are putting VDJ on the map with our skills and not relying on marketing and promotion like other companies! Besides, VDJ has the award for best software, so let them cry all they want!

There are already some big name DJs using VDJ, just look here ---> http://www.virtualdj.com/djs/index.html

Terry, I forgot about you, shouldn't you be on this list?

Surprised DVDJ Biggie isn't on the list. He uses VDJ and I personally have used tons of his videos. http://dvdjbiggie.com/

I'm pretty sure that page hasn't been updated in 6 years. Are you sure those DJ's are *still* using Virtual DJ?

This is an opportunity for VDJ to take the high road and distance themselves from these brands who have been ridiculed to death and who's reputation and credibility has been smeared.

And...

Here is an idea for the VDJ team... pay Jazzy Jeff to try out the software and give his honest feedback, get well known DJs to do the same... we all know the potential we have here, and im certain these DJ celebrities will be pleasantly surprised and will give positive reviews, think of the positive publicity that would come from this...

This is a fantastic idea. If the software is as good as everyone here knows it is, it should be (relatively) easy to get some testimonials from DJ's people respect and aspire to.

A great opportunity!

Updating the page is not my job.

Don't take My post the Wrong way..

A lot of Those Superstar Djs show in the Virtual DJ website Don't use The software. There preferred software since they use Time codes is Serato. My point is.. What some call a Dinosaur setup is what is being used by Big Names. People Look up To these Djs and they want to be like them. I have noticed that The majority of People that Bash virtual Dj are Mostly time code users and We all Know That Virtual DJ Can be better.. Now Its Time to step up the plate. I Hope Virtual DJ 8 fixes That. If you don't believe me, Pay a visit to one of The clubs they are Dj ing in or Look them up on facebook and look up there pictures.

Virtual Dj has a lot of Great features But, If it doesn't work flawless with time codes, A lot of These big Names will use something else. Many here will say Who cares.. But, The Truth is.. Its Free Marketing. Word of Mouth Travels Fast and That's why serato is Popular for Timecode use.

Coldcut-serato
Icey Ice-serato
Annalyze-serato
Debonaire-serato
DJ Jam-serato
Mr Vince-serato
DJ Trauma-Serato

All these is Free Marketing for Serato because, These Djs are not getting paid to use the software. They choose to use The software for there dinosaur setup.

Look at Jazzy Jeff.. He is a Legend. A lot of Djs look up to him and they would love to have skillz like him. How do get skillz like him.. Well.. You buy the same equipment he uses and Practice.

Well said, Caliente.

@Tear Em Up: Do you realize how often you come off as defensive and rude? He didn't ask whether it's your job to update the website. He asked whether you, a Senior Moderator, were sure that the information on the link that YOU posted, to a vdj page, was still current. If you can't answer that question, maybe you could be proactive and find out from your vdj colleagues since it is a valid question.

Sources are everything in reporting and if you can't stand by your source, don't be offended when someone calls you on it.

It just works like a charm, but with the 1.5 release and the ever bigger list of supported controllers it also works great for 'non dinosaur setups'. I tried 1.5 with my VCI-400 and I loved it. Yes there are things VDJ is better in, or different and it sure is more flexible, but they are closing in fast with a very stable, intelligent and super sounding product.

As for the discussion on the DJ's supporting VDJ, its not a secret the product can use a marketing facelift and I just hope someone got a big marketing plan and budget to position 8, once finally here, inbetween the top tools.

Wasnt Snoop using VDJ?

I am an un-paid volunteer. If you have questions, send a Teamer a private message. Noting the validity was not my concern. My goal was to inform. Nothing more. If you find that offensive then, you misinterpreted my intent.

Thanks bro, honored!

TearEmUp: Yes, that's it: I must've misinterpreted your intent. Have a good day.

Lol...

It seems the Beamz propaganda machine has silently erased all traces of the short marriage with 'grandmaster jay'...

Site has been changed
Press releases have been removed all over the net
Google is cleaned from any search result pointing to their site

Money well spend since their stock took a free dive in the past days to 25% of its original value. Than again.. with these penny stocks, that might just have been intentional.. abused correctly in a pump and dump scheme some people could have made more in these past days than the total revenue of the company so far..
