And there's another "it looks to much like a toy to be used professionally", really what the Hell does that even mean??? That one just takes the cake for me!! And Taylas right on point, I've never had a crash live and when I have had it crash it was my own doing. Sure there's things I don't like about it but its far from a toy.......

Hi Guys

Congratulatios,i hope in VDJ 8,you dont forget to get a better sound engine and quality(Keylock,MasterTempo),

and change the FADE TO BLACK on volume sliders to something like Deck´s video fader,so even with the fade on black

you still can preslisten the video´s audio to be mixed. Improve the RECORD section,make simple the way we record our

mixes from external mixer.

My only problem with VDJ in the past was their sound engine. This almost drove me to shift to Traktor but VDJ 7 has been a solid, great sounding product so kudos to them rebuilding the sound engine.

But it's been over a year since version 7 was released. I want more!!!
 

More is on the way so you can sleep in peace again.
 
I have been a proud user of VDJ since v3. I have had a few crashes too and most if not all were related to the infamous browser crash. VDJ 7 has been rock solid!

It has been a great journey so far with VDJ and I look forward to many more years on the steam train that is not running out of coal any time soon!

How did you download DJdecks, is it free.
 
Just go to the site and hit the download link, it'll take you to a different page where you choose MAC or PC.

Hopefully since you're starting from scratch with VDJ8, you'll finally fix the annoying crackling and popping sounds that using Master Tempo produces (despite having a fast machine and very low DPC latency)! The crappy sound engine is what almost made me switch to Traktor, but hopefully soon I'm gonna have a reason to never ever switch.
 
Here are my 2 cent, you keep hearing the same thing over and over again, So listen up Atomix!

1.re-brand the program! (change the name "VirtualDJ" it has a bad stigma behind it.) my advice I would call it "ProDJ"

Perception is reality; in the entertainment industry!

I'm talking about, now a days; you could be the one of the four DJs at the Club using VDJ and be killin it! and get a bad rap because of it.

2. Less is More! (make it simple for the eye to see, some of the VDJ7 skins are way too busy, for a pro DJ to use at Club)

Because why in the hell do I need a skin that looks like my CD Players or turntables if I have my CD Players or turntables right front of me! it looks cutie! but it's pointless! DJs need a clear way to read the information: bpm, cues, waveforms, effects etc.

3. Make the Difference between "Pro" and "Amateur DJ" software very clear and distinctive.

4. F*&#ing endorse some really Good! world renown DJs, show the people who's using their software to pack their Stadium size concerts up with it! you need over the shoulder shots of DJ,________ (insert your favorite DJ name) killing it with the program.

These are just two of the improvements I'll like to see for myself.

1. More support for Macs
2. Colored Wave forms, for many reasons and beside music is made up of various musical instruments & sounds. one solid colored waveform really doesn't do it any justice!

here my two cents
1.- a 99.99% stable (we know nothing it's perfect but 99.99% is fine)
2.- better sound
3.- if you don't want to change the name at least change the logo because looks like two minutes Photoshop logo, we are in entertainment
industry and here looks count, yes "i does" .
4.- a default and better skin.
5.-the bad reputation on vdj is that it's so easy to get a copy of it as just search on Google to find a lot of websites offering a pirate version

and don't givme that sh**** that the pirated version does not work ,yes it does. so make my 300 dlls wort it plese.

this my opinion if you don't agree that's fine.. don give me a hard time.

Odd, I get no such problems with master tempo?

As for Morettas repeated post, I think proDJ is an awful awful name!

No doubt you've already tried this but by any chance do you have wireless and/or anti-virus s/w running at the same time? These have been known to cause audio problems in the past...
 
So if a kid gets bullied at school he/she should fold to the demands of the bully's? Maybe come to school with a different name and hope the bully's no longer recognise them? I'd rather take a line from Rocky "you meet fire with fire", Virtual DJ just needs to smash the competition based on its own merits and the glory will come with it. I'm confident that they will.

I know for a fact that none of those DJs use Virtual DJ anymore, I know some of them personally! They were using numark Vinyl when it first came out and little was known about SSL!

SO like I was saying: endorse some really Good! world renown DJs, show the people who's using their software to pack their Stadium size concerts up with it! and update your website more often!

Am loking forward to trying the demo of version 8 (hopefully soon.)
To be completely honest, who gives a damn about what the software is called. The important thing is that it works and is reliable. Unfortunately for me I cannot afford to buy it at the moment so am stuck with Traktor. I used the demo of VDJ 7 while working in a club playing for 8 hours, 5 nights a week and it didn't crash once for the length of the trial. With traktor you can be doing a 4 hour gig and have it crash twice. As soon as I can afford it I will be buying VDJ. I have several bookings coming in for xmas so hopefully I can treat myself for the new year.
Just a suggestion for something I would like to see in version 8. I play music from old 60's up to the latest tunes but some of the old 60's songs were mono but re-released with bad mixes ie with the drums only on the left channel and the vocals only on the right channel. To get around this I run my setup in MONO. If there was an option in dj software to toggle when a deck is playing in mono or stereo I could play these tracks in mono and all the rest in stereo. If this could be selected on each deck by a simple click on a button on the screen that would be fantastic.
