Can you post your sound setup please (screen shot) from the VDJ config menu?

to save time which all do you want screen shots of? config, TC sound setup, vms4 set?

it sucks cause the VMS4 works GREAT other than the TC pops i get.

I do not use TC, but i still experience the same pops and crackle.... I also get a stutter in the currently playing track upon loading a new track to any deck.

then your having a different issue all together. there's a few posts on the constant crackles etc and what to try.

ok, ill do a search. any tags for these particular posts?

i think i seen it in the one on the top of this section of the board. the vms4 one with a sticky. its a good read regardless if your a VMS4 owner. lots of info.

I would like to see your VirtualDJ Sound setup + the Timecode Setting + Timecode Debug windows. Thank you.

after following instructions i totally removed VDJ from my system then reinstalled it. the crackles are still there using TC and the VMS4 with VDJ 6.1 installed. it worked before with 6.1 installed and as soon as i update to 6.1.1 crackles. what else can i try, do to get it back to 6.1?

What is "TC" You referred to that several times. What is it? I am about to purchase a VMS4 and I have a Windows 7 OS. I want to make sure it will be okay for my Window 7 (Compaq) laptop. I dont know how to do any of that configuration that you guys do. As a beginning DJ I just want to connect the VMS4 to my laptop and allow the sound to come out of my laptop. With this said I will connect the laptop sound into an Amp which will then come out of huge speakers,

I got that stutter when I used a previous mixer. DO you still get that stutter. Were you able to fix it. That is my big concern. I am DJing a party and I go and load a track and it stutters because of me loading a track. Did you fix it? Any suggestion on how. I heard it doesnt do that for MAC users.

Can someone tell me what latency and latency settings are in reference to the VMS4? It would be most appreciated.

I need help. while one song plays on Deck A I like the song on Deck B to mix into the song on Deck A. So to mix it in I need to here the song that will be mixed in on Deck B through the headphones. Can I just stick the head phones in the VMS4 headphone output to hear the music that I what to bring in from Deck B? i would like to know if I have to configure my VMS4 software (VDJ LE) to here music on the headphones. I heard something about using the mother board soundcard for the heaphones but I do not know what any of that means. My issue is when I am mixing and preparing another song to be brought into the mix I would like to prepare it by putting it on the headphone so only I can hear it as appose to it coming out on the speakers while the song from Deck A is playing. Can you explain this to me? Thank you so much.

Sorry man I was just trying to get some answer for this VMS4. Dont want to was my money ya know? Could you help me with some of the questions I asked above?

Sorry Huey one more question

Ok I just want to make sure that my Config settings will be correct when I purchase my VMS4 tomorrow so can someone tell me if my setup will be correct. Without the VMS4 my system is as followed:

Setup WITHOUT The VMS4

A standard 3.5mm going into the output of the laptop headphone jack with the audio/video jack (red & white) on the other end of the 3.mm going into the Amp and speakers connected to the amp.

Now, once I purchase the VMS4 my system setup will be ass followed:

Setup WITH The VMS4

Standard 3.5mm going into the output of the laptop headphone jack with the audio/video jack (red & White) on the other end of the 3.mm going into the VMS4. Then I will have the VMS4 connected to the amp and speakers connected to the amp.

With all that said would the Config Settings below be correct for the “SETUP WITH the VMS4”?

Input: None

Output: External mixer

Sound card: VMS4

Yesterday i pluged a pair of AA Radius 1000 with timecode cds. Everytinhg worked perfectly. No pops, no crackles.
Read here for the sound setup (bottom part).

LOL come on man. i have done this. i know how to set it up, i know how to adjust latency, i know how to adjust audio settings in vdj, asio etc. i am NOT a newbie when it comes to djing, digital djing, djing with a laptop, djing with and without timecode etc etc etc. i search the internet and threads befopre posting questions/problems. i try suggested fixes out before and during postings etc.

today i will actually have time to set up the vms4 with a cdj so i can get some screen shots for you, which i'm sure it will look fabulous and be spot on where it should be. because thats what i looked at when i had the first problem, my TC.

i used the vms4 at the radio station twice and for a private gig the last 2 weeks without TC and i had NO PROBLEMS which was my initial intended use for the VMS4 anyway (NO TC) Using TC would be nice to get squared away just to have.

Other than the TC issue i am having i haven't had/noticed anything else so far. well the mic issue (still waiting on my adapters from AA)

as you requested i even included the dpclatency checker
