Guys...I've been speaking to Tayla over the phone and he has asked me to apologise to you all for not being around the past couple days. Unfortunately he had a heart attack on Monday and has been in hospital the past few days and only got out today.

He is as 'ok' as can be expected and in fairly high spirits but is very tired and has asked me to let you all know.

Most of you probably know that he has been working on various projects, including introducing a 'light edition' of Firetext to Pro Edition Users of Virtual DJ. This project has understandably taken a bit of a back burner at the moment but he has assured me that as soon as he is able he will be back on it and the project will commence as expected.

I'm not quite sure when he'll be back on the forums. I'm sure it'll not be that long (let's face it...there's no stopping him!!!!) and I'm not sure if he'll be picking up messages, but if anyone does have any messages they would like me to pass on please let me know. Feel free to message me here on VDJ or drop me an email to chris@hustlerdiscos.com and I'll happily pass them on.

Thanks guys. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Keep spinnin'...(",)

Chris

It's not good to hear when a member of your extended family suffers something like this.

Get well soon buddy, plenty of rest and we'll see you back when you are good and ready...

Or when v8 comes out... Whichwver comes first ;-)

Hi guys, I'd like to say a big thank you to you all for your get well messages, I just feel a little guilty that I didn't respond yesterday when I first started reading them but to be honest I just couldn't summon the strength to do it. I still feel a little weak and having to sleep in hospitals these past few days has certainly knocked my sleep patterns all to hell.

What a week! blue lights from the doctors surgery (where I collapsed while in consultation) to the coronary unit of the local general hospital then a couple of days later another journey and more blue lights to (luckily) one of the UK's specialist heart hospitals where one of the surealist things has ever happened to me in my life, I'm lying down chatting to a fella while he cuts open a main artery in my wrist and he proceeds to direct a very long flexible metal tube into my arm while we watch this metal snakes progress on the theatre's tv monitors, it travels upto and around my heart while we are both laughing and joking on with the rest of the surgical teams, now that was weird!

A couple of "stents" later, a repair job to another artery and the discovery by the surgeon that I have a rare heart condition I'm well on the road to recovery, so a big thank you to all the teams involved in saving my life.

Oh! I've quit smoking for some unknown reason, hell of a lot easier I can tell you once you see the damage it does to the inside of your body... now what am I gonna do with all that spare cash.

I don't preach but if your a smoker try your best to stop, it may not happen for some years down the line but it will and when it does, you will have never experienced the pain those cigarettes gives you back.

Right off for a nap, I've been up since four this morning.

Thanks again.

Paul.
