I'm a wedding and party DJ with over 20 years experience in this area. I started using Virtual DJ professionally in 2010 and have not looked back since. Before this time I was using professional digital media players such as the Denon DN-HD2500 and the Numark DDS80 & D2. I've used some lower end products like the Cortex units, but found the Numark & Denon kit to be more user friendly & faultless. Of course, before digital I was using Pioneer CD decks, and before that turntables, but I wouldn't go back to carrying heavy record boxes again (I still have my old vinyl collection though!). I now use an American Audio VMS4.1 which I find great. A few of my DJ friends bought the VMS4's...I'm a wedding and party DJ with over 20 years experience in this area. I now use an American Audio VMS4.1 which I find great. A few of my DJ friends bought the VMS4's and had issues with them, but all the issues have been sorted in the VMS4.1 revision. I have also used the Numark Mixtrack Pro which was a very nice unit to use. The only issue with it was that it's not really built for the road, it's more of a bedroom setup controller. I was constantly breaking the buttons on it. Save for that it was a good controller. So that's me in a nutshell... See you when I get out!
