When i select the my computer in the browser than search for a song (feel alive by Benassi Bros. great songs btw). It wont come up!! is there any way to get VDJ to search your whole comouter and compile all the songs in one place? The song is an MP3 and not a protected itunes song so idk why it wont show up!!

Do a right click on your music folder/drive in the Browser tree.
You should see a option "add to search database" or something like that, lol ( I'm at work and can't quite remember). Click on that.
Now when you do a search all the files in that folder or on that drive should show in a search, that's unless you haven't ask for any to be hidden.
Quite simple really :)

ok I added all my songs been using rig for 4 gigs. Did a karaoke gig Thursday everything worked fine. I fire it up to day (Saturday) and when I search all my hard work is gone! I have to rescan all over again? what a pain in the arse!! Why did it just go away? all the songs have the yellow question mark in front of them.

Is this cause you did not recurse first? I am unsure what recursing does but when I did this first then added to DB, all the songs stayed.
I finally got to the point of using VDJ all through the night with no other "backup" software up and running at the ready. Also, I am now so familiar with hit that I love it so much. I have been toying with it for so long but decided to get very familiar with every single option and this makes a big difference. I love it so much.
just don not know what recursing is all about.
Ex BPM STUDIO user and may change the mac from megaseg one day!!
