quick question for anyone out there Can virtual dj be used to produce original tracks? Or even used to remix songs or is it strictly mixing music and video?

It is a professional DJ mixing program, so it is not designed or aimed for producing purposes.
For producing you can use Cubase, Reason and for final editing and mastering Sound Forge.
