Topic: Bypass with timecodes

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

HI I have a question....is it possible to do a Bypass while using timecodes...like mixvibes and Traktor? Put a regular CD and playing it without changing cables directly from the sound card? I am using Maya44

Yes, there is a timecode Bypass feature in VirtualDJ.

You can set up a Keyboard shortcut up for it, or some skins have the option on them, but you have to be a registered user to download the skins.

Thanx a lot....I`m now using the demo...hope soon going to Full

Yep, I think so.

I use TCV with my maya. And I can use absolute mode, so I can't see why not with TCCD but I always use "smart" mode.

what is the difference between absolute and smart?

Have a look a this mate.

there is a little explanation on the different Timecode modes.

thanx again and sorry for wasting your time!

There's no need to be sorry mate,

We are all here to help :)

I implemented these timecode features in VideoVision skins.

If you have a 1280 pixel wide or greater screen, you can use this one:

And if you have a 1440 pixel wide or greater screen, you can use this (also available from the skins download section):

It's possible to DJ using only a single timecode device by using the timecode on/off button. You can use your timecode to control a deck and when it's all playing the way you want it, switch off the timecode on that deck, and turn the timecode on for your other deck and then use the same platter to mix the next track. Also, not sure who really wants to use it, but there's an audio through button as well that lets you play a regular audio track from your CD player or record player through your computer. Personally I don't find this very useful because if the computer craps out then it obviously won't serve you very well as a backup, but at least it does prevent you from having to connect more cables if you want to play your CDs a bit or something.
