I ran this setup yesterday and let me tell you summen guys, its the 1st time i felt the power of virtual DJ in the palm of my hands. There was absolutely no latency issues, no glitches, I Vj'd for about 2 hrs str8 with no problems.
Only one small issues I'm having and that is to corssfade the video as my Console has a FULL audio mixer. What i discovered is for playing audio, this will work seamless on the other hand for video mixing the crossfader has to be midi. Now i have heard about the M-Audio X-Session Pro and how well it works with Virtual DJ but is there an alternative to this unit or some existing method to eliminate the midi controller?

you could always go for a mixer with midi controllable fader, ie NUO4, or that new pioneer mixer with full midi controllable faders...
