Is the Karaoke Rotation Plugin not available for Mac, I can't seem to find it.

I asked this exact same question and nobody could answer it for me!!!!!

Also most of the audio effects are missing from the mac version.
I have installed windows on my mac and downloaded the windows version of the software......All the effects and the karaoke rotation software are there.... Very disappointing for us KJ's who were expecting the mac version to run smoother and with all the thrills!!!!

Any updates with this. The manual that came with the mac version makes it sound like the current version (5.2.1) should support it but I can't find it anywhere either.

I was really hoping to use one software package (Virtual DJ) to do everything that I am doing. It appears I may have to keep kJams around a bit longer to do the Karaoke if Virtual DJ can't handle it on the more reliable Mac operating system. hell will freeze over before I ever run windows.

Unfortunately the karaoke is still a no go on mac. This is mainly because the DirectX and C+ libraries that windows uses to run the plugin do not exist for Mac. I know work is being done to develop more plugins for us Mac users - however how far down the line a "text", "titler" or "karaoke" plugin is i don't know.

Maybe something in the next update - who knows.

That's very unfortunate. I believe it should be made clear when looking at the Features Virtual DJ offers that it differs from Mac to Windows and that Virtual DJ certain features are not available on both operating systems.

As a consumer, I thought it was an equal playing field like it is with Traktor Scratch but the reality is that the field is not equal (unfortunately).

I'm going to still give Virtual DJ a serious try but I do have to say I am very disappointed that Mac users are left behind and don't find out until after they purchase the product. For those of you looking for karaoke rotation capability, kJams is the software to beat.

I totally agree with you and its something that is in the works. I think you guys are going to be really happy with the next version.

So why post about it in the Mac forum?!

I installed the latest v6.0.5 mac release and did not noticed the Karaoke plug-in. Is it still not released?

I find this strange it used to work in 5.2.1 using Windows service Pack using VDJ in bootcamp. I had a bug happen and total tore off windows and reloaded windows service pack 2 and bootcamp, partitioning half of my Mac to Windows and copied over all my plug ins from the VDJ folders and it has not worked since. I have another friend using the same version and he can still use his plug in!

I dont get it,
Jeff

I installed the latest and greatest (6.0.7) and it appears still no Karaoke Rotation plugin. Maybe the next release. I've waited two years, why stop waiting now.

The Karaoke Rotation plugin is linked to the Text module that's why it's not available yet.
