Quick question

I been trying to keep up with all the posts on here regarding VV and it's flaws . My quick question is tonight I have an imp0ortant gig and I haven't had the time to really mess with VV at home to practice and see what bugs it has before totally going live. My question is is VV stable enough to rock tonight or should I wait for the update that I saw they're working on ?

Would you recommend me using it live tonight or use it home and see what bugs everyone is talking about ?

Thanks in adavnce

sorry my set up is

Brand new macpro running latest version of software 10.5 and running latest version of VV 5.07 i believe it is

Thanks again

if you have not done any testing i personally would advise against it, not that there is any problems with the software its normally hardware that has to be ironed out, if you do go ahead and use it please make sure you have a back up system on standby for any unforseen circumstance, i do this any way doesn't matter what i'm using.

have a great night anyway

there's nothing wrong with the software but it wouldn't be recommended for you to go live without scanning you library and have the right settings...
that would be like getting a new dog and taking it outside without a leash...
you need to tame the software to how you use it...

i use pcdj but have vdj and maya and turntable.. the whole tcv setup.. i got the maya card about 2 weeks ago and decided to use the tcv.. i dont have any experience with tcv and dont keep up with tcv posts.. i never trust software that comes with hardware.. so i went online and got the drivers online..

i installed the software right at the gig and even unwrapped the tcv first time at the gig... it WORKED FLAWLESSY out the box..

well for an hr or something.
then later on came to realise dust in the needle lost the signal and had to switch the sound set up before i'd use the tcv again... but thats not something i'd do right in the middle of the gig.. anyway vv has to be tamed... then again i have this huge ass background noise from tcv that just makes it unusable..

so ifor me ts back to pcdj...

Thanks guys for the advice . seems like you might be right and im gonna just have to mess with it at home first and iron out the kinks before going live.

Thanks again
