Topic: need car help , Marcel around??

i hooked up battery and now the alarm is reset somehow and won't shut off ....whenever i try to start the car the alarm goes off and the car won't start ??

plus of course just to make things worse , i left my cell in the cell/coat check at the naughty club last night ..... so i have no communication and the car won't start ......

please , won't you hep chuck make the world a better place , 2 loose women and one car alarm at a a time ???? thank you for yer support

i need to bypass or shut off the alarm somehow , thought Marcel might know

i fergot .....Marcel's Canadian ......so he MUST be at the jersey shore .... i think it's required or sumpin .......so he's only an hour away , havin a good time , pretending he doesn't speak english , enjoying a full bodied molson , which btw is NOT a bbw

what ?? the car's down and so's the phone ......i could be here non stop fer the next 48 hours , hope they aren't tight on bandwidth .......

What type of vehicle is your car alarm hooked up to?
Is it a factory alarm, or aftermarket?

Give me a starting point big guy before I can give you advise

uhh it's an amazingly well preserved (inside and out) , but nonetheless very old , 1997 Chrysler Voyager minivan

which when filled with my mobile equipment still leaves room for my huge cooler filled with ...uhh whatever my insurance co. recommends .....

the alarm is after market ...... the owners manual for the car and the alarm are AWOL .....DOH

and thanks , and i am asking for a psychic diagnostic , but hey , yer Canadian AND a DJ so if you can't do it ...WHO CAN ????

cleverly disguised as a sentra .... with ultra sexy 60's psychedelic bachelor pad leopard spotted seat covers and a disco ball hanging from the rearview ....... i know , i know ...... try not to be jealous ......

oops yeah yer right ... i shoulda said .....of course the spinning rims , i get sloppy and assume .......

and yeah , i know what felix unger said about assuming .........

one thing i wanna advise you swingin hugh hefners ....... if you put a REAL disco ball hung from the rearview .....it can be hard to see around , and sometimes the holder for the mirror will give out from the weight

the bureaucratic pencil necks at inspection made me take it off .........
 
well i got the sentra back from miss universe , but i still do need to know what to do about the alarm ......Marcel any ideers ??

i'm trying not to get AAA to tow it to get fixed , i don't wanna burn one of my free tows .......

but at least i gotta veeeee - hickle to get to my gigs in this weekend , if need be ......

'course , in the little sentra , i may look like the Beverly Hillbilly's riding into Hollywood

Okay for aftermarket car alarms, it sounds like it went into theft mode after the battery was disconnected.

Try this first:

If the remote still works, turning the alarm on (locking the doors) should silence the alarm and activate it.
Then unlock the doors with the remote. This should disarm the alarm.

If that doesn't work then the electrical shock of putting in a new battery caused the control module to the alarm to go to "electronic module heaven"

Under the dash by the drivers pedals there will be the control module for the car alarm there will be taped up (I'm assuming) coming from the module two in-line fuse connectors. These are the main fuses for the alarm system, removing them will render the alarm system into a paperweight.

That for sure will disarm the system because it should have no power going to it.

If the van still does not start then you might have to remove the alarm system completely.

thanks much Marcel ..... the remote may be shot .... i'm gonna wait to mourni ...er morning and try removing the fuse(s)

if that doesn't work , i'm gonna play willy nelson for the coke head strippers ..... that won't fix my car , it'll just be fun .........

I got kicked out of a karaoke bar in Michigan for singing Piece of Shit Car back in '98. As I was escorted out, all I could say was, "WHY AM I GETTING KICKED OUT? IT WAS IN THE BOOK!!!!" Apparently they weren't impressed with my rendition of the Adam Sandler classic.
