One last thing which comes into my mind. As the Demo Version you are currently using for testing is only a demo the Timecode CD functionality is limited. So you will lose timecode control after 10 - 15 min of playing. Then you have to restart VDJ to get timecode control again.
Someone may correct me if I´m wrong.

Gotta question on my video card side...I'm wondering if my video card is enough to handle VDJ without issues arising? If it's not...is there a way to run the video out of VDJ to an external video card off of my laptop?

Afraid it MIGHT be too slow for video mixing on second monitor.
I got a x700 on a laptop, and it works, so maybe you are lucky :)
There are (almost) no such thing as external graphic card. Well there is, but its very new, and you need a PCI-E Express slot on your laptop to use it.

Thank you...well, I went in and took a dive on a new laptop computer in preparation for a second mobile DJ rig.
I picked up a Toshiba Satellite P305-S8822. Pretty nice laptop. I was after dedicated video card memory. With this one, I get 256mb of dedicated video memory.

Thanks...and it was a breeze to set up VDJ with it! VDJ is performing very well with this laptop. The video side also is nice and smooth.
