Topic: Best Controller/Mixer to use with vinlys

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

I have been using an MK2 with an external mixer to mix videos/audio for the past year.

I am getting some turntables really soon (numark tt200) and some serato clear TCV's to be used with the noisemap engine. Im going to be playing some pretty big gigs in the next couple weeks and i love the control that tables have.

I am going to sell my MK2 cuz obviously the crossfader is too close together to do any significant scratching and it looks weak.

Can anybody reccomend the best controller/mixer to use with turntables and virtual DJ.
I would prefer a controller because i love the control it gives you over the program but then i understand some controllers are not heavy duty and made for good mixing.

Im looking at the HERCULES RMX because it seems like it has ample crossfader space, good control and it also has a built in soundcard which is a plus. I understand that the soundcard is not the best for vinyls but if it sounds pretty close im willing too sacrifice having to buy an extra soundcard.

Please post in your opinion -- your ideas about the rmx and any mixers/controllers you would reccomened with two turntables on the basis of fuctionality, sounds, sexyness, etc.

price something big? because for your needs... seems like you kinda wanna get into scratching

so get a midi mappable mixer imo. $$, but controls the program, better mixer than any controllers

good luck, cant go wrong with pioneer, ecler, etc

yeah some scratches here and there but not too much. i mostly play top 40 college parties so maybe a lil scratching here and there but nothing more.

pioneer and elcer have sick mixers but they might be too pricey

Have you look at the Behringer DDM4000, It's a Midi Mixer with all the effects of a high end mixer, for the fraction of the price. It's a right bargin.

i think all these mixers are cool but the HERCULES RMX has a soundcared, its a controller, and it also is native to virtual dj. is there anybody that uses the rmx standalone with two turntables?

and if you do what is your experience?

Hi,

I use Hercules RMX with timecoded vinyls on Mac OS. It works great except that past a few hours, VDJ starts to lag (timecodes become less responsive) so I have to click on "Autoconfig" in the timecode config panel, with no consequence on the music playing of course. It has also some limitations due to the default skins (no smart loops...). I would say it's a cheap and fair solution for a timecode setup.
