Topic: Anyone notice bpm modulating when mixing?

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

It seems like most of my songs are either speeding up or slowing down when mixing with another song and I can't recall this being an issue before, I'm having to nudge the platter/s alot even though the bpm's are exact. Even intro's and outro's are running away from each other and its more specific as in the left deck's bpm speeds up if its being mixed into the right one and vice versa............ very weird if you ask me!!!!!

Tell us what kind of set up your running please. Hardware and software both.....

2Gig RAM lappy on XP
vdj 5.1,
tcv - both noisemap and vdj native ,
technics turntables,
herc mk2, and other 'home-made' soundcards...
The problem Terry (if there is one) is not in the hardware setup though as the beat is still running away when I use the program on the computer
without any controller or soundcard.....The clone deck option also doesn't work without the timecodes on the 1280 turntablist skin which is what I use, so I will try re-installing the skin again just to rule out potential bugs there.

I do lots of reggae and I'm definitely sure most of my tracks didn't have modulating keys and bpms.....so something is going awry here man!

Are they MP3s or WMAs? Please be as specific as possible...believe it or not it does help everyone to lend support....

Also, could it be the pitch sensitivity in the timecode config, the BPM's do move alot when the figure is to low and sensitive

I understand....so far all are mp3's and like I said even the ones with specifically modified intro's and/or outro's seem to be 'running' away. Moreover there's a pattern to it, the left deck (1/blue) is faster and the right deck(2/red) seems to be slowing down.

the bpm's are similar and exact on both decks and the keys are not too far apart, even those whose difference bpm-wise is less than 3%, under 80, are gradually growing apart and not staying locked......here I mean drums, and snares and that type of thing(not that thats what you typically look for to mix songs but you get the point), I don't mean the bpm....THIS IS REMAINING FIXED, the whole length of play....so the pitch sensitivity is not the issue. Guess that's why they call it modulation....

I got what you are saying now, very weird indeed.

Could your turntables need to be calibrated?......

I don't recall seeing someone quote themselves but....

To answer your question, yes they are calibrated...I will however try some other hardware later today and see, maybe also try some other skin and whatever other things I can eliminate as I think of them.
