Hello,
On the performance tab, you can set some settings wich make it easier to play and mix vids.
What are your settings on the performance tab and do you know some more tweaks for better performance.
My laptop can play a video and load another one but I think that the processor needs to work at his max to get it all without freezing probs.

It entirely depends on your specification what is your spec?
Which graphics card do you use?

Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2330 1.6 GHz
2 GB memory
Mobile Intel 965 Express Videocard
Windows Vista sp1
1 TB external HD
System tweaks:
Visual effects - custom, only shadow icons
Disabled NIC's
Virtualdj performance tab: Everything standard.

This is your issue , you really need a dedicated graphics card of 256 mb or better.
Vista does improve shared performance but it still is not as fast as a dedicated card unfortunately as it is shared from the ram.
I would definitely advise setting the windows classic skin on vista.

The last half year I had 4 laptops with for example a Nvidia 8600 512 mb card and also other cards with only dedicated memory.
All of them had freezing problems.
This Intel videocard has no freezing problems.
I bought this last laptop after that I tested it in the store (told them I buy a laptop if I can test wich one is best)
There are a lott of topics about this freezing problem.
My experience is that is depence on your processor, memory, videocard,Directx, shared memory or not, windows tweaks etc.
A Nvidiacard 8600 for example can work great in a laptop but in another laptop you can have freezings probs.
I tested several onboard Intel cards cards but none of the had freezing probs.
But back to my question:

Master tempo fast checked?

I think Performances Tab is for audio settings and has nothing to do with video card.

When I move the slider to the left as far as possible, I get freezings probs, so I guess it´s not only audio but your pc performance.
