Alf, Is this a new update to 9.0c or just a new link because 9.0c was released well over a year ago (maybe 2)?

It is the new update of 9.0c version which is updated every few months (previous was April).
Also, you don't need to even restart your PC, it is working right away as it uses dll library, it just adds new dll's to existing ones.

Ive got original directx 9c on disk do need to then install say Nov 9c then April then June etc......
Ive just reformatted and reinstalled xp can I just install June DX9c??

The last DirectX package always contains the previous dlls so directly install June 2008
You can also use the web installer:
