I have not done any video mixing in the past can someone please let me know where the best place to get videos is and maybe a few pointers?

When these sites talk about being a professional dj to subscribe what exactly do they mean? Im just starting so Im not doing much yet besides small parties and going to get into weddings and such. Does that exclude me from the content on the site?
 
I suspect they're just trying to cover their asses because what they are doing is a little dubious depending on the copyright laws for your country. If it actually came to a court case against them for distribution, I doubt it would make any difference ;)

Just say you're a dj and pay the money - I doubt they turn anyone away.
 
They won't turn you away. If they push it, just file an application for your small business license with your state. It's usually a small fee. You can fax them a copy of the document so they can see that you are pro.
 
Does anyone know of video download websites that have all types of music such as, house, hardstyle, schranz, bollywood, rap, hip hip reggae.

I'm already buying 3 monthly issues from Promo Only as well as the Smash-Vids monthly subscription. I have figured out between the two services I'm spending about $17 per video based on the ones I actually play.

What a deal :^(
 
Just signed up, not many videos although I did find a couple classics I wanted...sound quality on the extended versions is VERY over saturated and distorted (at least on the couple I donwloaded). As with most of the download sites (whether they are legit or not who knows unless you write to the labels themselves to find out) there are some videos they get MUCH in advance of the legite services (Promo Only, Screen Play, etc.). The video quality id pretty highly compressed and a lot of detail is "washed out".............

For $10 per month to get the videos when the songs are still new is worth the hassle, especially the first month so you can go through the 200 videos they have posted you may have missed....plus it is a pretty goom music download site in it's own right.
 
Yea, I thought I might give 8thwonder my $10 for one month and see what they have available.
 
I paid my $10 bucks just to see what they had.

I didn't find any I didn't already have and a lot I don't really need. There are a lot of video mixes, the venues we play are NOT interested in mixes or mash-ups, they want to see and hear what they see on MTV/BET/VH1/CMT...and probably PBS.

That being said this is a good one if you don't have a big budget but want to go video. I was impressed at how many they have added in the past month, SMASHVIDS needs to pick up their pace a little. (MyBAD)

(PS: I post in a lot of different type forums NONE have this "Beat the clock" countdown / edit / delete/ ... what's the big hurry? Got a HOT date.
 
I tried to DELETE my post 1 minute before the deaded "Deadline".... didn't work.
