I have a problem
I'm trying to use my keyboard to activate effects but when I try to configure different keys I come to the problem. It tells you to "push the value button of the current effect".
Well, I don't know what value I need to type in to achieve the desired effect...Is there a list of the effect values somewhere?
I tried putting in random numbers but I get random results(Example: a sampler activator or beat skip). Can anyone help?
A table of the values would be nice :)

So what are you trying to do - keyboard shortcuts or midi? They are two entirely different sections in config. The midi section learns when you press the button or move the slider and the keyboard section learns when you press the button on the keyboard

What I want is to press a button on my keyboard(not piano, the typing thing) to activate an effect. For instance: I want to set my F1 button to flanger on deck 1, but you have to give a value of some sort. I'm confused.

Should just need to go to keyboard shortcuts and then select the function you want to perform with your mouse and then press the key on the keyboard you want to assign. Different functions have different options - for instance if you select the browser up/down function, you make the option -1 to go up and +1 to go down. Not sure about effects but I suspect the value is the value of the effect, so flanger might be effect 5, echo could be effect 4, etc - you kind of need to experiment a little with values to get the one you want. Hope that helps but if not post again and I will figure it out when I get back home to my vdj pc tonight.

I've messed with a bit but still no results. But why would virtual dj make us blind to this? Am I missing a manual or something?

Are you using the "effect_activate" shortcut? If so, and it should instruct this within the panel, for value enter the name of effect plugin. So if you want to activate flanger just type in flanger in the value field;^]

wow...I'm stupid...thank you though, I just thought I had to put a single number or something in the value box...
