Topic: In theory this should work, right?

As the title is stated. I have a question but just want to be 100% sure before I drop anymore cash into my habit. I'm going to purchase a Technics SL-MK1200. Plan to run VDJ with this turntable. Will use my TC as the mixer/sampler/effects, the table only for scratching. Now if I go out and purchase a soundcard, let's say something like the MixvibesU46 and a timecoded vinyl from the site will this work as I hope on VDJ? I've searched and pretty much come to the conclusion YES, but just want some professionals opinion.

It isn't so much the turntable (any turntable will do within reason), be careful what needle you purchase though. CD players on the other hand have been know to be a little bit pickier.
 
2 are included. Stanton 300 & 500 needles? I never really knew the needle could make such a difference but guess I'll look into them. BUT the reason I'm going with the Tech is that I've read these are by FAR the best and actually found it at a REALLY good price locally.
 
1200s are kind of the industry standard, but there are a couple of turntables that will kick a 1200s ass. The only way to find out how well the included carts will work is to try them..
 
Listen there isnt another turntable out there that is build like the 1200! I bought mine 10 years ago and have had nothing go wrong with them at all! They are tanks and heavy duty equipment. True there might be some turntables that have better effects and options but there is NO turntable with the same build quality. With the Technic 1200 you will have no problems doing what you want to do.
 
Those carts will work fine.
 
Thanks guys. I am pretty solid on the table I'm getting and will be picking it up tomorrow. Now will what my plans are work? =)

 
Yes, with a good soundcard and one TT you can get some work done. Report back and let us know how the setup works for ya.
