Topic: Cue 5, no iTunes?

Hello,

I need help. I just bought Numark Cue 5, and was wondering how to get my iTunes playlists listed in the browser area. All my iTunes music and data is on an external hard drive. Is that a problem?? I really need to figure this one out! Otherwise, are there anyh work arounds??

Please help!

VirtualDJ/Cue - only sees the default location of the iTunes library. It will not recognize the 'alternative' libraries that you can setup in iTunes.

But VirtualDJ/Cue will read all of your music files stored on the external drive and play them (if not DRM protected)
 
So there is absolutely no way of making Cue recognize my iTunes library on my external hard drive?

It will not recognise it as the itunes libary but it is possible to load these tracks using the browser.
 
Upon further investigation of my computer's setup, I found out that the iTunes library xml file is, in fact, in the default location (I think), but all the music files are on my external hard drive. Now, I don't know a lot about computers, but since the xml file with all the songs listed is in the default iTunes location, should Numark Cue find the my iTunes library?

And ne last question, where and in what format are the iTunes playlist files kept??

I just bought numark v7 and i dont really like serato itch so am trying to use cue 6.1 instead. The problem is v7 only use one channel of the mixer for both sides. do i need to download a drive or something. am using 32 bit vista.
