How is VDJ 5.1 coming along? Are there going to be improvements in the overall sound, including the sampler. I know that folks were complaining about it. What of the features? What features can we expect. Will there be a new interface? etc. Ty

Just don't let your girlfriend get it Jimmy.... ;-)

Personally I think this is one of the most exciting updates for a long time.

we mere mortals will see it when it is good and ready... so stop the questions already, sheesh

Hmmm..........

I'm really looking forward to it... any word on a release for it?

I'm starting to think this might be more than a point release. The last time we waited this long for an update, it was VDJ 5.0! VDJ 6.0 anyone?

It has already been stated it will be version 5.1 and that is what it will be. As far as when ? It will be sooner than later, and you will not get an exact date from me.

But honestly, it is coming along very well. Everyone one will be happy, and yes there will be those that are disappointed that their great idea didn't get implemented. But this update is focused on FIX'ng things and making it RIGHT!

Chris

Hello, i hope that fixing time code problems with vtc...

i hope they fixed the holographic groupie this time, nice features but the inputs on this version are way to small..... anybody else have this problem

I agree I sincerely hope the timecode issues have been resolved for this release. Even for someone such as my self who does not use timecodes, It's hard to sell the software as a great timecode solution when it has so many users with issues. But Vinyls being strange animals - and after cruising serato forums and final scratch forums, I don;t think VDJ is really that much worse than the others out there.

Yes we did!! We solved it by completely redesigning the Timecode Engine into a Holographic emitter, as we found that having a TRUE VirtualDJ doing the mixing for you gave better mixes and more accurate control. Oh, and we are supplying 4 HoloDJ skins (bodys) for you to choose from. But can not share pics of what they look like - you will need to wait for release... And yes we will release a custom skinning guide once we can figure out how to restrict the designs to out a quality level of a 9 or 10. Don't want no ugly HoloDJs.

So there is your preview to the coming version...

Thanks Chris, for sharing a secret or 2 with us, lol

It sounds like it will be awesome.

He must Have been in a good mood Terry.

OOOHHH DAMN, I forgot to level that post !!!

Oh well I better tell you about the revised Automix that has 5 modes --
1. European DJ - only plays tracks between 130 - 160 bpm
2. American DJ - only plays tracks between 75 - 110 bpm and scratches on every 16th successive beat for 4 beats
3. Wedding DJ - only plays love songs for the first 60 minutes then play 80s and 90s for the next 90 minutes then randomly plays from the rest of the collection until the end
4. StripClub DJ - only plays rock songs that you would get laid to -- that's about it....
5. WTF DJ - randomly plays any track, beat mixes only the slow songs, and auto scratches at all the wrong points.

I like the fifth mode best LOL
BTW, you forgot to level your post again Chris, now mom is gonna spank you.... :))))
