Just wondering, do you nudge the vinyl / platter to speed up or slow the track, to get it bang on,

or do you use the pitch + or - nudge on the skin.

Use the pitch, and or nudge it at the spindle.....

It depends, the +/- on my skin i use will adjust the pitch% , so i would use that only if the bpm was off.

If i do drop in the beat and it was goofed (noticible you F'd up!! :) i would nudge the vinyl. Any more off (real bad) i would stop it and re drop.

If i drop it in and its only a hair off i have my arrow keys set up just tap it into perfect match. Similar to tweaking/nudge on a dac or similar device.

Depends on what you like, the secret is to be light on the hands and only try to release the vinyl with the platter. Good slipmats help, too little or too much grip will make things harder.

I'm old school Listern2, I nudge the vinyl to speed up slightly or touch the platter to slow down a fraction.

Top idea there mate, didn't think off that :) How is it done.

It's good to here others TCV users techniques.

i'll have to check my shortcuts exactly, but i do more vinyl nudging then with the shortcuts. Mainly i use the shortcuts for better long blends like dance music and only tap it in to place on the beats so it cannot be heard , but i do mix mostly hip hop where a little quick vinyl nudge wouldn't make a difference to a listener in the mix.

I have it set so the active deck nudges with the arrow direction indicating which way it should be adjusted.

Will this shortcut come under Pitch_bend or nugde(+252), nugde(-252), i'm quite confused, I've never created short cut's yet.

Ha i went home and forgot to check! When i get home i will tell you exactly what i got.

I live for some of my shortcuts. I keep things very simple and only the most useful one's i use. Like for my loops i use 8 beats and 16 only, anything else i would have to do on screen. Yeah you could setup your entire keyboard but that is a lot of keys and what happens when you hit the wrong ones lol.
