The 2 biggest Oil firms in the UK, (prob the World aswell) BP and Shell, have just released there Quarterly profit's for the beginning of this year, and jointly they made over 3 Billion pounds.
It's fcuking sickening.

I don't understand how the far left is bad yet the far right is good, both are equaly as bad and biased. Sure, there is some liberal bias in the media as is there conservative bias in the media, but most of the media just has a ratings bias. That's what they do, they don't just make stuff up, they take a fact and then add their twist, it's the nature of "news" entertainment. But scientific facts are, global climate has risen 1.4 degrees and it's melting the polar caps, yellow stone is in fact an active super volcano (all active volcanoes eventualy erupt), the economy is looking pretty bad, and an asteroid or comet will eventualy strike the earth (it's happened all throughout earths history & will continue to do so). I'm not going to debate it any further, but I thought a little centrist light should be shed;^]

Actually Rick I don't really watch/listen to either one, I speak for me. But that was a funny line..using KY... A great example is the horse that came in second at the Derby like Cyder pointed out. Now P.E.T.A. (which should stand for People Executing Terrorism All the time) is pushing for the rule of horse racing to be changed. You are a bit older than I am Rick so you remember some things I only read about. Here is my impression on the situation. This is one of the last chance for the 60s liberal groups to get their way on things. So whenever "the establishment" does something they don't like they run to the nearest TV camera and get coverage. I fully support the legilisation movement so long as it's heavily regulated, I've actualy got a propisition written on the subject which covers maintaining clean marijuana, crack downs on related crime, a measure to use it's taxation for mental health & rehabilitation programs, etc etc etc.. It's just a matter of time, prohibition only makes the problems worse and the only effective way to fight a war on drugs is through treatment and education. Besides all the obvious, a person should have the right to decide how they treat their own body.
I should point out though, only a small portion of tribes used marijuana in the peace pipe, most used tobacco. Also, the reason it'll take a sober person to push the issue is because we have to pull in people from the other side of the issue;^]

Most definitely regulated. Tax it, control it, sell it like cigarettes. If someone can pickle their liver with booze or smoke cigarettes till they can't breathe then we should be able to enjoy marijuana as well. I think it could overtake booze as the legal drug of choice. I had to stop smoking because of my job. I miss it, it helped with my A.D.D. and it helps me sleep. Plus my wife gets real snuggly when she smokes. schwing!

Timmy, even if you regulate and even educate on the subject the problem is that the world is so influence by what the see and hear, hence the media conversation, that we as educators cannot battle morally these outside influences. To mention piece pipes is like apples and oranges. They lived in a different society and different understanding of community. They did not have responsibility of money and providing a roof over thier head, driving a 1.5 ton metel object at 60 mph. They did not have to see a loved one fall by the waste side because he had no more control over the mental faculties and ect... Does this or would this happen to everyone, of course not. Because we live in a society that believes they have a right to do what ever I want regardless of who's involved and who will it affect. This mentality will continue to shread self worth. Something I noticed a while back is the asian population stands firm of culture and that we are all connected. Here they live in a nation of wealth and have a wide choice of purchase but you will almost never see them drive an american car. They will drive Honda's, toyota's, accura's, mercedes... but never a ford, GM, or Chevy. A thought process that believe we can live and support family but never support the job market that gives a population the freedom.

drunks are a lot bigger problem socially than pot smokers.
I do have a right to do what ever I want as long as my actions don't affect anyone else negatively. Smoking in my home is not going to hurt anyone, just like sitting at home and having a few brews is all good. Everything in moderation.
I bet the bar scene would be a lot nicer as well, I would much rather hang with some stoned folks than some obnoxious drunks. And everything sounds better when your high so you wouldn't get too much flack for your set. :)
