Topic: Virtual DJ With Serato Mixer

Does the mac verion of Virtual DJ work with Serato's Mixer? I have a mac and currently use Serato Scratch Live but I would really like to purchase Virtual DJ to use in addition to and along with my current components. I really like Virtual DJs features and capabilities and I think this will be a great addition to what I am doing now. Does anyone have any tips or advice about this?

Not supported yet, but might be. Reason being that Rane has its own way to talk to the SSL program, and its not open source.

Any midi mixer will work with VDJ though, such as:
- Pioneer DJM800
- Pioneer DJM700
- Ecler Evo5
- Ecler Nuo4
- Korg Zero4
etc etc etc

But hopefully the Rane mixer too, soon
 
hi does the rane ttm57 mixer work with virtual vynil? i use total control but would love to use the program with the rane ttm57 mixer.cheers

The Rane ttm57 mixer only works with Serato as of now...
Its a choice Rane made, since it uses non open standard for communications between mixer and software.

But Rane have said they will possibly make it into midi (will then work with any software)

Also, its possible that Virtual DJ will support the mixer regardless, by adapting the Rane communication protocol.

So, I got a feeling it might be supported real soon ;)
