Topic: "windows have just recovered from a fatal error"

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

When I was setting up last night, I played a track and everything was fine, went to get myself a drink. When I got back I noticed I had a blue screen with a error message on.

I restarted my lappy and I got this message "windows have just recovered from a fatal error". played the night (4 1/2 hours) with no problems.

Is this message cause to worry about?

Oh yes you can worry.

First apparently your reboot option in case of Windows crash is still activated.
Go in the System properties of Windows. It's on the same window that the one to select the partition at start and the delay of Windows start options. Uncheck Automatic reboot

Yes, and when this error happens again in will pop up BSOD with error code, it can help to solve the problem.

I've been looking, but I can't find where DJ cel is on about.

i think he means hit f10 at boot until it takes you to the bios ......

Cheers Chuck, will try.

No go to control panel/ system/ performance / and find Start Up and Recovery click on that and look for auto reboot and uncheck that box.

:)

Thanks DJ ALF, just found it,

is it advisable to untick them boxes. It won't harm it, will it?

This is the exact same error I get randomly. It only recently started when I updated my windows update last month. It never happened before that. So this is the solution / fix.
The funny thing is it only happens when I do video. hhhmmffff... wierd!!!

Yes you can, this option will not affect your PC, it can only work better and this services are not needed, at least I don't need them.

Thanks again DJ ALF,

Just untick the boxes :)
