Topic: is this possible???

hi,
the problem is that we only have 2 tt's at the club and i use vdj while the other guy uses serato. i was wondering if it was possible for me to split the white and red rca wires (with y-splitters) of a tech 1200 so that i can put two inputs into my soundcard and another two into his sound card.

i know the mixer needs 4 channels. but i just wanted to know if there would be a decrease in quality, and if it was even possible..

thnks

I did the same thing for my home set-up and haven't found any problems with reading the timecode using VDJ or Serato.
I use "y" adapters to split the turntable signal between the two soundcards. I didn't want to keep plugging and unplugging them in and out wearing them out.

NO ! Man Its Not Possible .. I Tryed The Same Thing At Home Didnt Work !

You only need to buy Y adapters. I have cables that already include a splitter.

ok so it is possible?? why did one person say no? it works for splitting the signal between digital and analog (as in cstoll's blog) isnt it the same for 2 digital? i more concerned about quality lose than anything...

also, arent 'y adapters' the same as 'y splitters'? one female on one end and two male on the other... correct?
