Ok, i'll try to explain my problem as well as possible....

So whats the deal with the TCV jumping around the song??? Say I have a song playing on the left through the TCV, and i'm gonna bring in the right song. Lets say I just got done playing a song on the right, and I bring in the next song to play, and it loads up. I DID have it at one point that it wouldn't matter where the needle was on the TCV, it would still play like normal, and I could scratch and everything just fine, not really caring where the needle was.
Now, in the middle of some songs, the song will jump around as if it was the distance in the record grooves. Like, lets say the needle is at the 3rd 'track' in the record, it used to be that it wouldn't matter, and the song wil still play like the TCV would just be used to control the music (Scratching wise) but now, its like where the needle is, the song will jump like ten seconds into playing the record, and it doesn't always happen. Sometimes it will behave, and just be used as a controler for the music, but sometimes it will jump around and PISS ME OFF!!! Tonight is my first video gig ever, and there WILL be a crowd there, and I don't want this kind of problem to happen. Some times I'll even start the needle from the start of the record, but it will just pick up somewhere in the song.
Another thing is that I STILL lose control of the TCV, the record on the screen will be following my motions on the TCV, but it will NOT control the musc.... This is REALLY pissing me off, if this happens ,the only way to fix it is to 'jump' the TCV, but changing a setting in the TCV settings, but then the music starts off from the beginning. WTF!!!!!!
(BTW, i'm really trying to push VDJ over serato to all my DJ buddies, and its hard everytime they come over and I have problems., I also am not someone to just give up, i'm willing to find a solution, but can't find anything that really works 100%)
PS-Can someone please explain to me the functions of the options in the TCV settings? like "Smart cue" "Clear sound" etc?? I can't find any info on them, and what they do, they may be a solution to my problem...

wow. man i can't believe your still having trouble with time code. i didn't even bother reading the post. Its close to a year now huh? PM me & we can setup sometime to talk on the phone if you would like. I will screen shot my settings. U can match & i will walk you through.

I did the same settings as someone else on this board (Sorry, can't remember the name right now) anyway, he has a delta 1010lt, and I copied his settings, and it still doesn't seem to help. I think i'm gonna freak out tonight when the TCV goes out......... I know it will... Kinda sux.But ok, sounds good, i'd like to go through EVERY setting that I have, and make sure i'm doing it right.

Well, I was only on for about 30 or 40 mins (Played during the band's break), but I killed it for that little time. TCV was lost within 20 minutes on the left side (Like always), so I did the clone deck thing and just used the right side the rest of the time (Which I lost the right side eventually too) Still just used the mouse to control everything for the last 2 songs, but MAN what a bitch, when you schlep all that shit in there, just to have the TCV give out on you mid scratch......

hey, iv just recently bought sum timecodes, they are not working for me proply either...
like how dj schmidty said, about the the needle and the song jumping... IT HAPPENS TO ME ASWELL WTF
also... i duno wether its my decks or my timecodes ( i have never used proper records )
but when i used TCV, it seems that my decks are playing at different speeds... THIS CANT BE GOOD!...
when playing a track on TCV, i can actualy hear the song, slowing down for a split second n then it goe sback to normal, assif i put ma finger on the viynl, however it does this constanltly and causes the beats to go horribly wrong!!!
i even look at the bpm counter and its showing that the track is playing T 152.3 BPM, n then all of a sudden it drops to 149 Bmp, and then to 147, back 152.3 again then increases to 154, then back to 149 BMP! WTF!?!
obviously they should not be doing this... how can anybody mix when thier TCV's are doing that?? is it my decks?? or is it the TVC???????

first thing to do is play a real vinyl and listen to see if that has the same issue.
also list your settings or take screen shots of your TC config and VDJ options

I think if you can post a screen shot of the timecode config window,(the advanced one) and the perfomance window we can start from deh.......Just remember that alot of us ( let me speak 4 myself), Me...the timecodes have worked purrrfectly and to date, incorporating actual real records and the timecodes is seamless whether its audio or video, whether scratching or beat juggling and should 'at least' not have those problems you are experiencing!
