Topic: 2nd monitor does not display

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

I recently changed the monitor that the S-Video output on my laptop outputs VDJ to. I see both monitors (1) and (2) being properly identified under WINDOWS set up. In addition, I activated TV output in VDJ.

But why is it that all I see on the monitor output is the windows desktop (less icons)???

1. plug s cable into laptop then boot system
2. go into control panel and make a dual monitor - confirm ( ok )
3. in VDJ> config >video > change settings to your video card
4. depending on version of VDJ ( activate video or enable )
5. start the party

I did exactly that. But when I activate TV OUTPUT in VDJ, I get a pop-up VDJ Video window on my VDJ screen, and a blank desktop remaining on the S-video monitor.

??

In your windows display properties, make sure to tick the checkbox in front of: "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor." That should fix it. Also, make sure that the video card is selected in video options in VDJ, instead of (window).

Under VDJ / VIDEO / TV OUTPUT, there is no other choice listed... Only TV Output. I have an ATI Mobility X800 that should be there...??

I think I figured it out. The display mode (in CATALYST) seems to be in some kind of clone mode or something. So not only do we have to extend the desktop, but the display mode has to have TV / extended selected under ADVANCED.

Hmmm... this is a bit confusing. In fact, I want to toggle the S-Video output between

1 - The clone mode for VDJ demonstration purposes, and
2 - The normal VDJ operating mode of extended desktop

In ATI Catalyst software, I can't seem to do this in a predictable way... it seems to be random what the mode is in. Any ideas?

I wish I could offer more help, Eric, but I don't use that type of card and configuration software. Perhaps someone else has similar hardware, and will chime in.
