Topic: Anyone had this problem with a clipbank?

I have a clipbank that I've created that is an long advert for the club. (To see a sample of it, check my website.) The video is an MPEG-2 encoded 6 minute vid. What seems to happen most of the time is when I've been playing a video and go back to an MP3 the clipbank video looks like it's on fast forward. Sometimes the video corrects itself, but most of the time it doesn't. I've just learned to keep the effect button on 'clipbank' and manually reset the clip when I see it behaving like a press fast forward. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes it happened to me a couple of times, with Shadow Dancers. It has not happened again, so don't know what I did or didn't do.

Hey Tayla, I will post the actual vid I'm using on my website sometime today (March 10th). I change it every month but the same results always happen. If you are just curious as to what it looks like, click on the Video Promos Demo Reel in my flash player on the home page of my site.
 
have you tried to make a new copy of your vid? try that and put it in clipbank and see if you get the same problem, dont forget to take the old one out first so you have a new clean copy, just trying to knock out possible probs one by one



 
Yep I have. This problem has been happening for the past few months now. I've used 4-5 different promos, all with the same result. I also have individual promos that make up the large promo in separate clipbanks, same problem. I'm uploading the file to my website now (1:15 CST), it will take about an hour to upload. nice work on the advert by the way, just downloaded the clip gonna run it on my home pc and see what happens, will let you know in a couple of hours its 6.30 pm gmt this side, have you tried contacting cstol on this problem he's probably the best guy to get info on the subject


whats the cpu like when playing the vid, plus have you tried making a copy in vcd might be worth a shot and you wont loose that much quality that the punters will notice or try mp4, just another two ideas to knock down and get out the way

just been reading through the post again are you using clipbank 1 or the new clipbank 2. and if cb2 did you just install it over the original one
just another idea to knockout of the process, completely cleanout any copies of clipbank plugin and do a re install of the original clipbank 1 programme and see what happens if ok then clean that out and then install clipbank 2 once again see what results you get at least then we can eliminate them from the process


 
I'm using the plug-in that came stock with 5.0.7. Will try the other one and see what happens.

been running and checking on the vid and its nearly 10pm here, its been running as smooth as a babys bum so that rules that one out and the quality is spot on. will wait to see how you faired on the other stuff


 
I realized that once I got to the gig, I'm already using the 1.2 version of the clipbank. I would really rather not re-encode as I want to keep the quality the way it is. My CPU usage doesn't go over 30% unless I'm loading a song. I'm using a dual core AMD processor, 2 gig of RAM on a RAIDed system. The graphics card is an NVIDIA 7 series. (I will need to probe the work machine to get the exact model as I am at home right now.) Glad that you like the promos, recommend me if someone needs em. hint hint. ;) I use Vegas to do the rendering and Digital Juice products for the backgrounds and other motion elements. I use other utilities too depending on the effect I'm trying to achieve.

mine runs on about the same lines, if you could take off your lappy c/b 1.2 including off your hard drive and then install clipbant - old version, this works on the lines of c/b 1.2 put doesn't have the same extras but runs on a different decoder i think, see what happens and we take it from there. if no different try re-encoding 1 file in different formats and if that don't work your on your own and i'm off on holiday. lol


"Glad that you like the promos, recommend me if someone needs em." hehe funny you should say that i do one or two for the lads on here as well, we seem to have something in common, we both enjoy video editing. i did this clip on ulead and is very basic compared to sony vegas which i'm just starting to learn and eager to get my head around, so hopefully you may be able to help me out on more than a few pointers.

Hey Tayla, that was a great clip. Who is that guy A Man and His Music? I bet the other DJs at his club are just shitting on themselves. It's bad enough that he is the only one doing videos, with "Don't cha wish your DJ could mix like me" scrolling across the bottom.



Those pole dancers are a hit. Even the girls love them. Thanks my brother.

glad they are liking those sweet girls doing there routines, hehe, funny what you say coz it turns everybodys head over here too, soon as they come on the screens you can see everyone nudging each other and telling there friends to watch the screens, its such a conversation killer hehe

nice intro, good vid to watch, i want a jet pack please, nearest i get is flying a helicopter, mind still a long way to go before i get that license, its always far to bloody windy for me when i want to take a lesson,

right a quick question for you, anyway in reducing the amount of mouse clicks in S/V its so time consuming

What exactly are you trying to do Tayla? If you have a control surface it saves a lot of time. There are keyboard shortcuts for just about everything, but we need to know what you are trying to accomplish first.
