Topic: Numark New Package Help

Hi everyone,

I hope all is well. I have a few questions regarding the computer dj packages that numark released. I'm specifically looking into getting the mobile dj computer package which includes the dmc2 controller, the dj i\o, cue, and the phx headphones. Does this package include the full version of cue? I know the professional package which includes the usb mixer does. Does anyone know? Also I have an external mixer so would I be able to connect the dmc 2 directly into my mixer?

Secondly, I have a hercules mk2 controller. I was thinking of just buying the dmc2 and upgrading to vdj pro since the software is the same. I just wanted more clarification on how would I go about setting up my system if I decided to go this route. I figured I would use the mk2 controller as my soundcard. I have a mixer already and would like to know the step by step procedures on how to set up my system with the dmc 2, the mk2, and the cue/vdj software?

Any or all clarification would most be appreciated....sorry if this sounds basic as I like to get to know the grassroots of how things work.

Hi there , that package contains full cue as do the other packages , but to be honest something to consider it may be cheaper for you if you use the upgrade offer from Virtual DJ with your console and purchase the controller separately.

The DMC has no sound-card so you will need to use an external one.

You may wish to use however a different sound-card if you want a rack-mount setup.







 
Hi. Good points, but if you do go for the package I'm sure that you can use the dj I/O soundcard with any external mixer.
 
Thanks everyone. I'll think about it some more as I save up some more money....Is there a post on one of the forum that would tell me how I go about setting up the dmc 2 if I decide to use it with my mk2 controller and the vdj pro edition with an external mixer?

 
 
Thanks for the information! I really do appreciate it. I currently have the version that came with the mk2 when I bought it (I believe the home version). Would I need to get the pro version to set up my external mixer or am I okay with the version I have?

Also, is it possible to change the vdj skin to the numark cue skin? I looked under the skins but did not see an option like that. I did see numark cue skins but did not know if you have to have cue installed rather than vdj. The reason being is that you can read the timings of the tracks and the elapsed and remain times of the tracks as compared to vdj.

Yes you need pro which you can get at a discount or as the boxed Cue.

You also can download the Cue skin from the skins download page if you buy VDJ.
