Can anyone recommed a good portable device that I can use to record my live mixes, typically from 2 - 4 hours?
I have tried a Creative MP3 player that has a line in and records direct to 160kbps but the sound quality produced is terrible.
My other option is to record onto my laptop, however I believe that this is not ideal since I use my laptop to DJ off and I don't want to risk the stability - I use the club's mixer and therefore would also need two soundcards in that instance since the inputs of my main soundcard are all used by the timecode signals.

It can record sound without compression and even using FLAC. I own it.
It can record video as well but I haven't tried for quality yet.
