Why In Virtual DJ 5.0.7 Mac version the controller no longer lit? The lights on the controller no longer works?

Unfortunately support for this controler seems to be broken and a fix will be released as soon as possible.

Hi the solution is to download the very latest hercules driver http://ts.hercules.com/eng/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=2&fid=28&pid=179&cid=1

Do not install it yet and then go to applications > hercules

run the hercules control panel and check the driver and firmware version

then install and check if the software and firmware is updated , now try in Virtual DJ

if it does not work go to applications > hercules > updater

and run Updater.app , then disconnect your mp3 console reconnect and it should now work.
 
skyfxl, that did not work for me. How about If I Installed the mapper?
 
The mapper wont work on mac as its an .dll , so to confirm the control still does not work after using the very latest driver and updating the console?

Do you have access to a pc? , the updater software is better on windows so when you update to the latest windows driver it will update the firmware for you automatically .


 
I will wait for the fix. Skyfxl, your instructions does not help.

when I go to config and go to hercules remote config Invert pitch/volume is the reverse on Virtual mac version 5.0.3 beta version.

I am not using the mk2. I using just the DJ control mp3 .
 
The fix is to update the drivers its not a problem of virtual dj as such the new updated sdk giving better control and supporting the rmx from hercules included in V5.07 full requires the latest driver and firmware to operate. , if you cant get them updated with this method contact hercules support asking for more information about updating your firmware.


 
Sky, I know now why you think that the software update should work. I don' t have the mk2. I simply have the first generation Hercules.

Those procedures does not work with the MK1.

when I looked at the firmware version It tells me It' s version 2.50.

hola muy buenas...tengo un problema, me compre hace 1 mes y medio la dj control mp3, pero estoy de mudanza y he perdido la clave para poder arrancarlo! Alguien me podria ayudar ypasarme algun keygen porfavor! muchas gracias y saludos.

its confirmed from virtual dj staff, there is a known issue with the virutal dj 5.07, version 6 works.rumour has it that vdj and hercules are at logger heads thats why there is incompatibility
 
It is a slightly different issue on mac , but at a basic level the mk2 uses a new sdk in the latest driver and there seems to be an issue with it and VDJ 5.07 mac.

Something which Hercules and VDJ are working on.


 
Just curious...is there any progress on this front? Ultimately, I just want to buy the RMX, but I'm in the US...and god knows when they'll get 'em over to this side of the pond.

Slighty different topic but is the any way that the hercules MP3 can be used with virtual vinyl through a soundcard and some different wires

I believe that if the DJ Control MP3 is installed and connected to your computer, if you go to the REMOTE tab in the VV configuration, it should be seen and you should be able to activate and use it .
