Topic: DJ io setup help

Please could someone help me.

I am running Numark Cue (Virtual DJ) on my laptop, which is connected at a Numark Total Control unit. I then have a Numark DJ io also connected to my laptop.

I want to use the headphone out on the dj io to preview a song whilst output 1 from the dj io is playing into the speakers.

I want to use output 1 to play all the music and only have headphones to preview songs when i request.

I had previously managed to have one deck play from the speaker with another in the headphone, but i could never get them to switch when i wanted to crossfade in the song i had been listening to in my headphone, but now want to go out the speaker.


Any suggestions

i have not purchased my djio yet, but would also like to know the answer to this question
 
To clarify, you want to listen to what you are about to play in your headphones - and what you want to be heard to go out to the speakers?
 
Yes this is indeed the devices purpose to allow previewing :)
 
did you try to use the 4;1 for soundcard in your config.i was using the djio for a long time but always had my headphones through my mixer.try using the 4.1 soundcard to see if the djio will then use all functions 2 line outputs 1 headphone and then 1 mic.my set up was bascically two lines out to cd players and mic and phones from mymixer never any probs
 
how do i get my djio to play from my two output? it is playing from one output.
