when i rename a file i can't find any more on more than one ocassion

Did you remember to put in the file extention at the end?
You can't rename a file by just putting in "artist - track" when renaming. You have to remember to also put ".mp3" or ".wav"
in other words, it gotta be the WITH the file extention!
like:
artist - trackname.mp3

I think he means he cant find it in the databas anymore.
If you scan HD, then renam a file, then Search in DB and try to load it, it won't cos the refference to the file is invalid,
You will need to re-scan HD.
