Im Using Vdj ver 5 rev 6 and im mixing at a club and all of of a sudden the program freezes up????. is that suppost to happen is there anyway to fix this. i dont know if is the effects i have on or how many i have on.

In order to obtain the most useful information for your situation, please post your system specs, like cpu, memory, sound and video card, and what file format you are mixing (e.g. video, mp3, etc.). This will narrow down the possibilities in terms of troubleshooting and lead to a more appropriate solution.
 
my cpu is 12. my memory is 522224. my sound an video card is soundmax digtal audio.

When you say VDJ is freezing, I take it to mean that it is becoming unresponsive. It may be that you need more RAM (>1GB), or other processes may be eating up CPU resources. There are "tweaks" available here in the forums that you can try. Have you watched the CPU meter yet? Do you have the latest home edition version?
 
Did I miss something? I don't see a video card.
 
where can i get this tweeks oh here the rest.... also yes i have been watching the cpu meter and and go sometimes 100 and 25.

Does it freeze with just the hercules plugged in and without? Did you troubleshoot the hardware? That is where I usually start. Possibly reinstall the hercules drivers or update to the most up to date drivers.
 
If you are truly using version 5.0 r6, please enter your Pro Serial number in your profile - http://www.virtualdj.com/fusers/modifuser.html . If you are using the trial version and not a licensed Pro Version then please clarify that as the demo is version 5.0 r4 . You can confirm the version by looking at the Config -> Info tab.
 
I'd hate to fuel his fire but i am also experiencing similar symptoms. Not often, usually in the beginning of the night and usually when loading a mpg2 file for the first time. It freezes to the point where i have to CTRL, ALT + DEL to restart it. After that i restart the software and it goes on problem free.
No crashguard info to post but i did notice that in the bar at the top of the screen (The wave form bar) the track loads about 25% of t he way then stalls and all is down hill from there.
Below are my system specs with which i run a DMC2 and a gigaport soundcard. All media is stored on WD 1TB Mybook
Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 (2.2GHz) CPU, Intel 965PM, GeForce 8600M GT, 2GB DDR2 Memory, 160GB SATA
