[note: I thought I posted about this the other day but cannot find the post, so I'll repost]
All my files are named "Title - Artist" and VDJ reads them in and gets the Artist and Title backwards.
Is there any way to get VirtualDJ to read them in correctly when all my files are named "Title - Artist"?

only if they have id3 tags and the artist and title fields are correct

Sometimes I have to correct the same issue, right click on the song and choose file info. It will bring up this window
The red circle areas might have the correct info, if so just click on them. I hope that helps
If that does not work right mouse button click on file operations and rename..that should do it for you...

Get the software Dr Tag and simply in 2 steps you can change them all at once. You can use the trial, but you cant do them all at once.

Thanks for the quick tips, but I have 2 problems with the proposed solutions:
1. The ones I am having problems with are .vob files and AFAIK cannot have tags given to them (if they can have tags, what is a tagger for them that VDJ can read in, as this could be a solution?)

2. I have .flac and .mp3 files also that do have tags and therefore title/artist are correctly listed in Virtual DJ's window, so a mass transition would screw up these tags.

Where did u name the .vobs, did u name them in VDJ or the file itself. You will need to rename them (the file itself Artist - Titile.mpg)

I renamed them with a batch script I wrote using the database from Promo Only.
Unfortunately, once named, there is no easy way to rename them, and I prefer title listed first in the filename.
The reason for this is that it doesn't lump songs from the same artist together when listed alphabetically,
and most people think of song titles rather than the artists, which makes it easier to choose songs (outside of Virtual DJ anyway).
