Topic: " he ain't heavy , he's my brother "

just thinkin' about the oncoming season ...... in the fall it feels kinda like a no man's land .... not the hot fun of summer , not the cold fun of christmas and winter ....... and the cold drizzle and dank nights ........ " all the leaves are brown, and the skies are grey ..." i wasn't feelin real bouncy today and a friend started chemo .......

so it made me feel great later this same day when a bud from this forum had the wants to be added as a contact , and we had a great long talk ....

then i stumbled across Format's Christmas samples ........ Format was basically encouraging people to get in the right mood , and he posted 2 great Christmas samples to set the example of holiday cheer and giving .... well done , and thank you !

so thank you Marcel , and thank you Format .......

we're pretty much there , timewise , ready or not , so i hope we all have a great season ........ one of the great things about the season is the giving of gifts and kindness ...... so " do more than just care " and help someone , i'm sure you can .....

so let's get in the mood of light and hope .....
may all you hold dear be near , i hope we all have great holidays , and when yer not lookin' , i'll be spikeing the eggnog ........

Are we starting the crimbo celebrations off early this year then, why not.

It's a expensive time of the year, but isn't it the BEST.

You missed the point - not by much - but you missed it.

He was in a moderatly bad mood and 2 things happend that cheered him up. And he wanted to share that with everyone.

2 random acts of kindness that had nothing to do with each other. Except put chuckers in a better mood.

we should all be so lucky that something random happens to makes us feel a little better

jimmy i haven't heard that crimbo phrase b4 , so i don't know what to make of it ......

Marcel's explanation of the topic of the thread was dead on .......

i know people say Christmas is just a crummy excuse to sell a lot of stuff , but if the somewhat ritualized exchange of physical gifts led to a more general appreciation for the need to just give and participate in something bigger than yourself , especially if it was more than just once a year .....?

that bit i just quoted btw is just before the very famous " i know it came from your heart "..... " no it didn't , it came from the fat man shop" for those of you who know your golden age of tv .....

i used to go around caroling when i was a kid .... i should do that again

Crimbo is a slang word we call Christmas here in the England and the UK, ( Happy Crimbo ) I thought other countrys used it, but I guess I was wrong. It's been around for a hundred years or so.

Now you know what it means. :) :)
