Yes, please check the output of your second monitor or projector, to see if it freezes, not your interface. When you say second, do you mean a split second, microsecond, nanosecond? A second is too long of a freeze for me, if we are talking about your output to the people.
 
On my system I sometimes ( not very often ) get a slight delay / freeze but it doesn't show on the output screen. I think it may have something to do with the codecs the system has to read / switch from VOB to mpeg or vice versa. In config, check decode while hidden maybe that will help.

The freezes only happens with hardware acceleration ON.
It's a split second. Only the moment when I load a video to the other deck. No nanosecond, just enough to see that the video stops for maybe a half second or more.
The music is going on without freezing at all.
When I don't use hardware acceleration, it doesn't freez ( but then I can't use the video effects)
It's also with a beamer connected that I see the same freezes.
 
what screen resolution are you using for the video output? 800x600 should be enough if you have it any higher.
you may want to drop the color down from 24bit to 16 bit and see if that helps. this will help put a little less stress on your graphics card and may stop that quick little freeze you're getting.


 
Check what AMAHM said about the interface just freezing and not the actual output. You'll need to have the whole system rigged with external output to check.

You need hardware accel on to use the transitions and video effects.

I almost want to give it up.
Als with 16 bit it's the same.
But that was a good suggestion, shame it didn't help.
 
I assuming your using a PC for this setup... Quick question when you purchased the video card did you do an upgrade to the power supply... most computers dont come with at least 500 watts of power to juice the Video cards.

Someone step in if I'm off base here. Just seeing what sticks the fan.

I'm using a laptop.

My pc got the same problem but is solved with the RIVATUNER.

On my laptop ( Vista 64 bit Home) it says that I need admin rights.
Strange because I'm the only user on the laptop and also member of administrators.
It also says that Vista don't let drivers installed that are not signed.
Found a way to disable that within Vista.( open cmd and type: bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS)
But it still tells me that I need admin rights and that you must disable that you cannot unsigned drivers

But I don't think that the Rivatuner can help:

The problem on the pc was with XP
Vista has his own hardware accelration control.

Maybe there's a way to put it on in VirtualDj but disable it within Vista.

I don't know it anymore

 
I know you are getting tired, because I am tired. You are having more than video card problems, if you are not able to change things. You don't have a nerd living close to you? You need to get this computer functional, before you can get VDJ to work. You have to have administration rights, even if it's just because, it's your machine. I can have a lot of freezing on my monitor, but it does not show on my LCD's and projector. I even analyze videos while playing, and it looks as if my interface may crash, but my output is fine. This is on my XP desktop, I have not done enough test on my Vista laptop yet.

But the main problem is:

When I unmark HARDWARE ACCELERATION within Virtualdj, No milisecond of freezing videos.
But without it, I can´t use the video effects.

I had a beamer connected to my laptop and I saw on the output screen the freezing for a half second with Hardware Acceleration on.
Without it marked: No problemo .
