have recently boughta a laptop but the soundcard with it is not good enough to run cubase smoothly. I am interested in buying hercules and i'm wondering wether i could use it as as external soundcard for cubase.

The asio drivers are not so good, and its locked to 48k,
what this means is your projects in cubase will be 48k,
you have to resample every sample when import.

CRAP for cubase HUGE latency. Unless my set up is all wrong. Yamaha PSR 295 with built in midi interface - via usb to laptop - into cubase - out via vst plug in - hercules dj console sound card.
When i hit a key the gain bars move immediately on screen but the sound will appear nearly 2 seconds later!!!!
