Topic: Help with the exponent

OK I've been driving myself crazy for the past 2 days I went & build a second system with the exponent controller I got everything to work but except when the hardware acceleration it checked the controller & the video freeze up on me if I do not check it works great but the transition of the video is only fade from one to the other any suggetions !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My spects:
Intel cor2 2.4 quad core
2 gb of memory
512gb ati 1950xt pro
soundcard & controller ix the exponent

well your problem apears to point to a problem with your graphics card drivers or direct x

not the controler

i suggest youy try looking for the latest Ati Drivers plus the latest direct x

do you use vista?
 
I use xp pro 2edition & I believe all the latest drivers are in because this is a personal new new computer built for me like my main ones.
Also some questions that I feel might cause a problem.
1-In this pc they installed nero can that have any conflic ?
2-When I open the files in the windows the file type shows a dvd file but the extention is vob file when I open them in the main pc
they show as a vob file can that be a problem?
3-because I'm cloning the hard drives from one pc to another shouldn't the cuerpoints & bpm's already be there ?


I can't see me having all these problems from one system to another the only diference from the two is that in one system I use a dac3 & in this one I use the exponent. Any help will be appriciated & believe me I will get to the bottom of this but I may need as much help as I can get from everyone.

I think you might be right.
How do I recurse & How do I check the irq & change them?
 
right click on a drive in the vdj browser and hit recurse on the menu

for the irqs click that link for a guide,
 
What happens when you recurse a drive ?
 
the database for that drive is refreshed for any new songs or changes

you may aslo wish to press in options > browser

Check , Clean and Fix

to optimise your databases
 
I want to start by saying thanks for the quick respond there is no forum or software out there like vdj.
I do the check clean & fix everytime I add or delete my music but witch one is better & I've noticed that once a file has been played in vdj whenever that file is loaded again it loads faster.So the other question should I let vdj anilyze the file & by doing that will they load faster?
 
if you analyze files they will load faster and the bpm will be more acurate
 
OK I'll do that for one system & then clone the hard drives for the 2nd system when I do that do I have to analyze the entire 2nd system again or will the 1st do it for both ??????????
 
if the drive letters assignments dont change and the system drive is identical

you shouldn't have to

however doing that may cause driver issues on your computer



 
Big problem I can't get vdj to respond to the exponent it is telling me that I have asio problem I downloaded the latest drivers twice & still having this problem HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
