I have a macbook 17" 160gb 256mb 2gb and am using 4.3 rev 2 video goes to external screen but the videos don't play if anyone has an answer to this please help.

THE VIDEOS ARE MPEG FORMAT WHAT FORMAT DO THEY NEED TO BE?? CONNECTED VIA VGA OR S VIDEO,THANKS DAZ

mpg is fine i would suggest you use VGA
just press detect displays on the display preferences then drag the video window onto the second monitor
