Topic: 16 Band EQ causing 4.3 to hang

I've noticed VDJ hanging all of a sudden from time to time. Not crashing, just hanging, buzzing real loud for about 2 seconds then continuing sometimes. It's been so super stable so this is new. The only thing that has changed is I'm using the 16 band EQ plugin. By default it shuts off when a new song is loaded. If it's off when the song starts, all seems fine. I've noticed that when I do have the hanging, the effect is turned on. It has done it when keylock is turned on if music is playing, matching bpm, pressing automix, and simply pressing play at the end of the other song.

Anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas? Would the 32 band EQ do the same thing? Kinda weird...

Just tested & confirmed the same thing happens with the 32 band EQ as well. This happens in 4.3 as well as 5.0 & 5.0 rev2.

Help???
 
Maybe the EQ plugin is a bit CPU hungry for your system? What's your CPU meter reading when the plugin and keylock are engaged?
 
15-20% It's no slouch.

AMD Athlon 64 4600+ Dual Core
2 Gig RAM
Nvidia GeForce 7600gt video w/256 RAM

Dedicated system with no other software installed, doesn't go online etc.
Rock solid otherwise.
 
Well, that pisses all over my system specs, as well as my theory as to why it might be hanging! ;-)

wish i knew

same thing happens to me on every version.
i never got either of them to not "Train Wreck".
i gave up on using those very potentially usefull EQ's. :(

 
Well, at least I know it's not me or my system...
 
Guess there's no support for this...how sad. I deleted the plugin.
