Im new to all this but I can't seem to get any video output but the sound from the .wmv file plays fine. any ideas?

Dear Skate.
VDJ doesn't support WMV files.
It's fun poking o'le Bill Gates in the eye! LMAO
Professional videos are rarely (never) offered in WMV format.
If you are SERIOUS about going video it's going to take more commitment than downloading a free version of VDJ and searching the torrents for your video collection unless you are playing a frat party with free beer.
In that situation that would get what they paid for. :^)

Not so. WMV are usable, however you may have to go into the Config and CODEC tab and change the WMV extension to Windows MediaPayer Video Decoder.

Some video cards have problem with WMV9 but there is no problem with WMV8 and previous version.
