I was relentless in trying to find out why the Hercules MK2 doesnt record outside of the VDJ application, however I pounced upon a small observation and to my dimise, this must be reason for the occuarance.
The problem is that the Sound Recording module doesnt carry any option for recording.
Is there an immediate solution for this glitch. Need your support VDJ gurus....THANKS!!!

Can't help you with the recording issue though, but someone will come along shortly I'm sure.

to record with mk2 outside vdj i belive you need to choose asio mode on the console
and choose the mk2 as an asio card in your choosen aplication and use that to control it
