is there a way to play, say a video such as a movie, while mixing two tracks? i want to have a movie playing while i mix live linked to vdj.

unfortunately not at this time
possible future feature hopefuly :)
however for now :) you can play a video fx on audio files
go to video options and tick use plugin with audio
try the Sonique visuals there so pretty :)

you could open a second instance of VDJ and have the movie playing on that, while you play music on the first instance.
Not ideal but might help a bit if your really stuck! :)

You need a skin that says "Multi Instance" not "Multi Skin"
