So Install vdj 3.4 with the full install in the folder for example "VirtualDJ3" then install VDJ 4.x with the full install in the folder "VirtualDJ" or "VirtualDJ4" (as you want) [you can modify the path in the install]
Finally copy the effects you need in the correct folders. But to my mind it's useless to all uninstall. Just rename the key of the folder in the Windows registry

I see, I couldn't remember if you could direct the folder path in the install or not. At first i did not do that; I simply installed normally, then renamed that first 3.4 folder, then installed 4.1 in the usual way to the default virtualDJ folder, then renamed that one. Sorta backwards. That's why I wanna do a complete uninstall
of 4.2r1 full and 3.4 full right from scratch. There's a little overlap in file installation and some unwanted folder/file crossover going on.
Now am I making more sense. And again, thanx for your help.
