You think you can do advanced scratching with the M-Audio Torq Conectiv?

I'm still debating which one i should get!! They both sound GREAT! But.. I need to know if it can handle scratching and beat juggling..

Beat juggling has nothing to do with the soundcard.. Its the software. You have to worry about getting a 100% time code quality and make sure that the time code quality doesnt drop to 0% when your scratching. When you have good time code quality, the signal is passing thru fine and the timing is fine. You can scratch, bring the record back to the same marker and the song will not shift from where you are holding the record to scratch. Its based on the time code engine..

So what timecode engine do we use so that we get the best out of VDJ?

I heard the serato beta engine was pretty good.

You said before you use the timecode CD engine v4.. can I also use the v4 engine in 6.0.5? Is it as good as the v4 engine in 5.2? Or should I stick with serato beta engine?

Engine 4 for Cds in Virtual DJ 6.0.5. Right now i dont have turntables but i will be getting back my 1200s soon. When i get them, i will be able to mess around with them and test each engine to see which one works the best.

It's a good engine, but still has it's minor imperfections. Yes you can use 6.5 with tc engine 4. You can use Serato and VDJ and see what suites you the best. That's the only way you can make a decision for yourself.
 
Thanks to you guys I've went out and bought a conectiv for myself.

However, can I use the M-Audio soundcard or ASIO4ALL? I don't really understand the difference.. what do you guys use?
