just a quick one...
i was looking at the lay outs for setting up 2 decks with mixer going to a maya 44 ( mine is a gigaport ag but the same i think?)
all the stuff i have seen is for setting up with your decks to run both normal and time encoded.
for that you need y splitters and other stuff
my question... does any body have a diagram for setting it up just to play time encoded...
im sure its real easy ... and i think i have it coverd but to put my mind at rest...
so a little help would be great!!
also my laptop has a pIII 750 ... i know it says 850 min... but i do have a gig of ram...
should it run ok? ... no video will be used

i would recomend that you get a new computer
as your one doesnt meet the vdj recomended spec
or prehaps try the baby bro of vdj

i have atomix but its not great and i really want to try time code djjing...
i have been djing with technics for ten years ... lots of clubs and pubs...
but i have so much music on mp3 that i cant use ...
this looks to be the perfect way...
but i want to get it running and see what its like before i go and spend more hard earnd cash ..
if its for me then new laptop...

you realy need to get a better computer then mate if you want to use it profesionaly

i have a laptop and a desktop system.......
portability is nice but it isn't everything........
if you get a rack mount desktop you can get a professionally mounted and secured setup that is meant to go on the road ......that you can change and upgrade the power supply, motherboard,internal or external hard drives ,audio and video cards at will and do it yourself if you are even just a little bit mechanically inclined.......
also your OS matters..... I reccomend XP professional
